Resumen
La investigación en ciberacoso se ha enfocado en identificar la frecuencia de los comportamientos y los roles para explicar el fenómeno, sin embargo, es escasa la literatura sobre cómo enfrentan estas situaciones los adolescentes y si las diferencias en las respuestas entre hombres y mujeres son consistentes. Se llevó a cabo un estudio comparativo con el objetivo de identificar las diferencias en el tipo de respuestas que emiten los jóvenes ante situaciones de ciberbullying. Participaron 38,841 adolescentes, y se emplearon 7 viñetas digitales para presentar y evaluar el tipo de respuesta. Los resultados señalan que los hombres tienden a emitir respuestas más agresivas, en tanto que las mujeres buscan apoyo social o son más asertivas. Se discuten los resultados en función del tipo de respuestas; se apunta a la importancia del cuidado de la privacidad y seguridad en las redes sociales para disminuir conductas de riesgo.
