Abstract
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a set of neurodevelopmental disorders that manifest in childhood and persist throughout life, characterized by difficulties in learning and socialization. This case study presents the intervention carried out on a 6-year-old boy diagnosed with ASD, whose teacher requested psychopedagogical support due to the challenges observed in the classroom. Through interviews with the teacher, the parents and the child himself, along with various psychopedagogical evaluations, the specific needs of the student were identified. The psychopedagogical guidance used followed the four-phase Counseling model: 1) Establishing the relationship, 2) Evaluation and understanding of the problem, 3) Planning the intervention, and 4) Monitoring and evaluation. Based on this approach, an intervention proposal adapted to the particular characteristics of the case was designed, aimed at improving the child's academic and social performance.
