Abstract

Anxiety is the most frequent disorder among the general population worldwide, as collected by WHO data. The academic world is no stranger to this disorder either. The university has a series of activities that promote stress and anxiety for students, which can undoubtedly influence their physical / psychological well-being. There are many investigations that have been carried out around the repercussions that anxiety has on the school development of the subjects. But it must also be said that those that relate anxiety to personality and emotional intelligence of students are not as frequent. Working with these variables could be a way of changing coping with such situations and would have an impact on improving student performance. A study was conducted with students of the Faculty of Education of the University of Zaragoza to see the relationship between anxiety, personality and Emotional Intelligence in students of the Degree of Education. STAI tests, which measure trait and state anxiety, the EPQ-R, a personality test, and the TMSS24, which measure Emotional Intelligence were used. In turn, a clinical personality questionnaire (PNP) was also passed to rule out any type of mental disorder
